Hello fellow memebers,i recently received my NOA letter stating that my I-130 was approved,i called the NVC and i finally received my case number,should i just wait for the 4-6 weeks until i receive something from the NVC or should i call and tell them whats going on with my case? What to do?

Congrats on the approval. I'd wait a few days then start getting on the phone to an operator at NVC.

I would call ASAP to give email addresses and also send an email from the beneficiary's email address appointing choice of agent. If you got a "letter" in the mail, chances asre that you have a case number at the NVC. If it was a text or email alert, then I would wait. For example, my I-130 was approved on 03-02-2010, I just received the hard copy in the mail today. Meanwhile, I called and got my case number over the weekend and 1st thing Monday, I gave an operator our email addresses.

Also, could you please make your timeline. If you can't remember exact dates just guess, it doesn't really matter as long as it close enough.

I see you've said you have your case number, that's good. What you need to do now is call up the NVC again and talk to an operator. Have the USC do this, cause I'm the beneficiary and I rang up the first time, unfortunately I couldn't understand a word the woman was saying cause her accent was so heavy, it was quite embarassing for me

When you call back (good luck getting through again) you need to have your NVC number as well as the email address, birth date and name of both the petitioner and the beneficiary. You have to confirm the name and birth date of both the beneficiary and petitioner, then you give them your email addresses so they can send you the next step. Give it about 3-5 business days before calling again if you haven't got anything in your inbox from them (check the junk box too).
