You really are paranoid, Danno. She was talking about prevention over treatment. Proactive vs. reactive. Doctor visit vs. ER visit. If health care is delivered too late to ever more people in the most expensive way possible - the ER - then we need not worry about cost containment. Ain't gonna happen that way. So people should be afforded access to preventive care which is what she talked about.

CBO says preventive care costs more than it saves.

If you want more 'preventative care' then teach people to go see their doctors more often.

An reasonable person would see it as a poorly worded statement rather than falling into paranoia over it.

Unfortunately, with all the shenanigans that are still going on surrounding the "healthcare reform" Bill, I think she chose the words quite carefully. Because if the "basic" Bill gets approved, there will be a series of "corrective" amendments voted on that could twist it beyond all recognition, as if anyone currently has much of a clue what is actually in this 2,000+ page monstrosity.
