I see, so tea-party goers and libertarians like spending money on NASA, just not on anything else; excluding the military of course. Nuclear power and the defense department relies on this thing called science and engineering. Furthermore, it was not some gun-toting fool that is developing the technology or who figured out nuclear power. Guess which party is cutting back from schools and education? I see it first hand in my state, so you cannot BS your way out of this one. Nevertheless, clearly you guys don't mind spending $1.1 trillion per year on defense but have a huge problem with investing money in America on Americans.

American roads compared to which nations? Got any stats for comparison on this? The U.S. has by far the extensive road network carrying the most vehicles so there's a lot to maintain.
