Obama was solely responsible for the economic crisis? Remember unemployment is a lagging indicator. Unemployment will start increasing only after other indicators show an economic decline and markets can improve long before employment does.

He volunteered in the past. He was a community organizer in Chicago. Also, have Rushed spewed more BS and negativity towards a President or was it that Obama spewed more negativity towards Rush. Do you realize that he says that - should a move towards universal health care be made in the US - he'd leave the US to acquire health care in Costa Rica - a country that happens to already have a universal health care scheme in place? Why leave the US for Costa Rica then? Because they know how to do universal health care and deliver good service and we don't? Because the US is inferior to Costa Rica? That's the implicit suggestion he's making. But there's a lot of his fcuking dittoheads out there that don't seem able to connect the dots.

No, but he is largely responsible for inability to do anything positive on the economy besides a stock market that could only go up anyway. Maybe that's not fair but he's the most visible figure in the most powerful office.

Mark my words. Unemployment is not going to drop to "normal" levels of say 5-6% unemployment until 2012. What sectors of the economy do you expect to lead the recovery?

But sure, bringing the rapid decline of the economy to a halt and reversing it into solid and hopefully sustained growth - the jury is still out on the latter - really doesn't mean anything.

He would be like the tens of thousands of Canadians that do the same. What's the problem? We have a very large medical industry in Vermont geared toward treating Canadians fleeing the national health system, why would anyone expect US citizens with the money to do so to be any different than Canadians with the money to do so. NO ONE chooses government health care if they can afford to avoid it.

Largely drivien by artificially bouyed auto and housing industries, it has since dropped again...and you know it. I doubt you will be publishing the graph after the 1Q '10.

He is taking water in a bucket from the deep end of the pool, spilling it as he walks and then dumping it in the shallow end and declaring victory. Unemployment is still at about 10%. The best month in housing was followed by the worst. It is impossible for a government, any government. to take money from the economy by taxes (or borrowing) and putting it back in the same economy. The only thing that can stimulate REAL growth is to put more money in the hands of people to spend in the free market. The only way government can put more money in the hands of people is not to take it from them to begin with. CUT TAXES. CUT THEM TO -0- if needed. Someone in Obamas admin is smart enough to know this and that is why the recent unemployment extension bill also extended the George Bush tax cuts.

Big Dog...Obama hasn't DONE anything to improve the economy. Extending jobless benefits doesn't increase jobs. Nearly all the "stimulus finds" have gone to local and state government. Only 5 states have participated in highway funding because the others can't make the matching funds.

Now, 15 months after he took office...

There is no healthcare reform

There is no jobs bill

Guantanamo is still open for business

The war in Iraq and Afghanistan is bigger, involves more men and costs more

Unemployment is higher
