AOS APPOINTMENT TODAY

did not ask questions

had us take the an oath

copied our Marriage certificate

was very pleasant gentleman

No green card

its pending...............

GOT SLAPPED WITH A SEUCRITY CHECK STATESIDE

Sigh, having one of those days where I think I'm losing my sanity...

The indeterminate separation is hard. If there were a "date" to look forward to I THINK it would be easier. I keep setting a date - far out - to try and help my brain, but some days it just doesn't seem to work.

I wish I could figure out a way for me to just go there and be together, but it doesn't seem rational, logical or wise.

I'm definitely feeling like :blink: today. And maybe a little of this :crying:

quick question cause I'm too lazy to look it up :blush: - do I have to submit proof of the marriage (beyond the marriage certificate) when I submit my AOS papers or at the AOS interview? reason I'm asking is if it can wait til the interview, we'll run down to the courthouse and get married and then have our reception in a month, but if I need it at the time of the application, then I'll wait and submit the papers after the reception.

Also, it's been two weeks since he's here, and I'm planning to go to the SS office next week - do you all think that's enough time for him to be in their system by now? I'm assuming I don't have to wait to get married to get the SSN, right?

Definately get your SS# prior to getting married, if you don't, your i-94 will be expired and the SS office will refuse to give you one until you have EAD or AOS.

Be sure to post questions like this in the AOS forum as there are many going through this same situation and have the same questions! :star:

THey asked at the appointment for the things we did not submit with the application, we sent in the certificate, but they asked to see it again at the interview :) He said we just had to proove he was married within the 3 months timeline post entrance to usa.. did not have to proove relationship, they just asked to see the joint bank account. i tried to show off pictures of graduations, marriages birthdays and newspaper article etc.. he said no need. will need it in two years when conditions are lifted :luv: congratulations sister Omid xoxoxo

MArch 21st , 2005AR for special security clearance,washington

May 18th tranfer case from Seoul to Islammabad

June 21st security clearance done

June 28th online at the embassy in Islamabad

waiting for paper transfer and the good word

OCTOBER 14TH 2005 Interview Number 2: ISLAMABAD, PK

AR number 2 sent to DOS per Islamabad (2 cable request)

Nov 22 okd updated financial and etc proof accepted / embassy waiting for security cables

dec 20th one cable back waiting on 2nd

Jan 17th.. good word recieved. SECURITY CHECKS ALL CLEAR!!! DOS says embassy to contact him within two weeks!!!!!!

FEBRUARY 10th, 2006 VISA RECIEVED!!! They called him In via phone, stamped his passort and sent him on his way!!!

FEB 28th WELCOME HOME>>>POE CHICAGO did not even look at xray, few questions. one hour wait at Poe

march 10th marriage (nikkah at the islamic center)

aug 2006 AOS interview, cond 2 yr GC arrived september

June 2008 applied for removal of conditions on permant residency aka awaiting for 10 yr greencard

Dec 2008 10yr green card approved, no interview.

Namecheck after AOS interview is NOT AR/AP. Many people have this issue, not just ME/Asia men. Women, children, everyone! :crying:
