been on AP/AR for over 4 MONTHS NOW!!!

129 days toal so far since we've been on AP/AR.

i call DOS 4 times a week, every week, and get the same response

'your husband is still undergoing security checks, there is no more background information we can give at this time'

#######!!

i ask them the following questions every time:

- what is the status of case?

- has the cable been sent to embassy?

- what/how many security checks are pending?

- which checks has he passed?

- i am his wife, why can't you look at you other screens and look for useful info to give me?

i've spoken to all the different operators, barbara, rose, etc and they all give me the same info:

i don't know...... i can't give you that information........we don't have that information now....

are there any other questions i can ask? have you all been getting the same responses from DOS when you call up and ask about your cases? can DOS tell me what check my husband is on (ie check #1 2 3 or 4)???

please help molly!! lol

Molly AP is a black abyss. I responded to your other post as well. Hang in there and hopefully not much longer and he will be called back to Islamabad. Our AP was a total of 148 days.

Cindi - congrats ( I think  )

quick question cause I'm too lazy to look it up  - do I have to submit proof of the marriage (beyond the marriage certificate) when I submit my AOS papers or at the AOS interview? reason I'm asking is if it can wait til the interview, we'll run down to the courthouse and get married and then have our reception in a month, but if I need it at the time of the application, then I'll wait and submit the papers after the reception.

Also, it's been two weeks since he's here, and I'm planning to go to the SS office next week - do you all think that's enough time for him to be in their system by now? I'm assuming I don't have to wait to get married to get the SSN, right?

Thanks everyone!
