I-134 Question

Ive been working in the Finance industry for the last 3 years and made an average of roughly 50K, annually. Heres my question. From January 1-March 31st, I accrued salary in the amount of $11,000. From March 31, 2009-December 31, 2009 I was collecting unemployment for a total of $18,000 in benefits. My question is how this will affect my affidavit of support? Is unemployment benefits considered reportable income for the I-134 does it not count? I'm confused...

I have been employed since Jan 4, 2010 and am earning a 50K salary and should have no problem getting a letter confirming my status.

Any help is appreciated.

The I-134 you use for the K1 visa asks for your current income, so last year doesn't matter at this point. State your current salary and provide a couple of your most recent pay stubs to evidence it. I'd throw in you last three years tax returns as well to show you have long term good income history.

Is the last three years of tax returns relevant if I was living off benefits the last year?

Yes, they are relevant to your long term stability. They are also often requested, so it's better to provide them than delay the visa while you respond to a request for the. The unemployment period will not hurt you if seen in context.
