Just wondering if they have some inside joke thing going where they punish those of us who check our status ,,,,say more than a few times a day...You know...."ohhh they're checking 10 times a day...let's give em another month and see how insane they go!"

Only reason I mentioned this is it seems those that are getting early approvals are the ones who say.."ohh I never even checked my status...just surprise...29 days and there's my NOA2."

I'm a gonna have to go with NO on this one

 The USCIS has other things to do than play or tease people. Anyway, you don't have to keep checking online or compare your progress with how other cases do. It won't make you feel better. I already arrived in the U.S. last year but my status online remained unchange. It didn't even reflect that the I-129F was already approved.

All the best for you and your fiancee!

According to the official Compulsive Screen Refreshers Guide, the answer is no... (j/k, there's no such guide)

There's never been an official meeting since everyone is always checking their status...

Sorry..this was really just a joke....I'm a bit bored today.

But actually my case has been touched twice in two days which kind of freaks me out a bit.....so maybe they are playing cat n mouse with me.

 For my K1, the touches came only twice after the May 29, 2009 submission: June 6 and August 25. There were no e-mail updates or anything like that. The NOA2 showed up in my then fiance's (now husband) mailbox on August 28. NOA2 date: August 25, 2009. The USCIS website didn't indicate that we got approved though, not even until I arrived here.

Moving to K1 Process & Procedures from K1 Case Filing & Progress as this is not a K1 filing update but more of a question about the K1 itself. :)

Thx! It wasn't really a question but a rather a release of tension from feeling like that little rat that keeps hitting the "feed" button and getting shocked and hoping that next time is the one that actually has food and not another shock. This is how I relate the checking the status on the USCIS dashboard, like we're rats being tested...."oh here's a touch for you..now keeping checking the site 100x a day and we might touch you again in a month"...

Yeah, the distance apart is hard to deal with....

I got the "touches" starting Monday, then another on Tuesday, then about 2 hours ago I got simultaneous email and txt msg from USCIS. Then finally, I checked online the USCIS Dashboard, and my little blue dot moved over to the post-decision spot. I really could not have done this without the resources here on VJ! And it's funny, my fiancee was worried about us not having a lawyer because some of her friends used lawyers and got their decisions in about 3 months......she can tell them all now that we did in 41 days with only the help of this little ol' forum called VJ!

You're welcome.

What's with the change of display name?

Your patience will be tested once you start calling the NVC. I hope their lines are not as busy now as they used to be.
