RFE After Receiving Biometrics Letter?

I just looked at my copy of I-693 form that has been filled and signed.... I noticed that the Part 2 Medical Examination: Summary of Overall Findings has not been filled/checked by the CS. Can anyone check this out for me? For those of you that have a copy of your I-693, can you please help me check whether yours is filled???

I'm wondering if this is the reason why I'm getting an RFE?

Thank you.

My Summary of Overall Findings has an X on the box, No Class A or Class B Condition.

If none of the boxes are checked, I can see why you're getting an RFE.

I hope that helps.

OMG!!!! Thank you... I'm gonna kill my CS for making that stupid mistakes :(

Thank you so much! I hope I get more people to reply and to see that that's really my RFE reason!

You're welcome! I'd be just as pissed at the CS for making that stupid and careless mistake, too!

I'd go back to that CS and show him/her your RFE...s/he should issue you a completely accurate I-693, free of charge.

You already paid for it once...why should you pay again for their stupidity?

Markie could you PLEASE write your replies outside of the quote box?? It makes it very hard to reply to you. This is what you wrote:

"My Summary of Overall Findings has an X on the box, No Class A or Class B Condition.

If none of the boxes are checked, I can see why you're getting an RFE.

I hope that helps."

If you had just the vaccinations complete then there should be NOTHING ELSE on that first page except Part 1 filled in. The Vaccination chart should be completed and part 5 too. If just the vaccination is done then ONLY the vaccination pages should be sent. (meaning part 1, part 2 (vaccination chart) and page 5)

If that box WAS ticked you would be more likely to get an RFE because it's claiming a test was carried out when none was.

To the OP - do you have the ability to scan (and black out) the form so we can see if its filled in correctly? Did you sign and date it the same date as the CS? on the results page did they check the waiver box or one of them? Are ALL vaccinations complete (like either you have the shots or the "not age appropriate box" ticked? Did you put your name and A number on it? Are they correct (I accidentally typed my maiden name but noticed before I printed).

Sure, I'll reply outside the quote box. Sorry to cause any problems.

My wife was lacking one vaccine, TdaP. All of the other vaccinations were complete.

Tuberculin Skin Test (TST), is not a vaccination, but a screening test and is required for all applicants 2 years of age and older as per I-693 form's instructions. She has an X in Result: Negative box.

I fail to see how having No Class A or Class B Condition checked would warrant an RFE. Doesn't that mean there is no evident communicable disease (tuberculosis)?

What I find somewhat strange is the CS didn't write anything for your tuberculosis screening. It says it's required and the CS should perform one type of initial screening test only. Did you have any TB screening? If so, the CS should have transcribed it.

Attached is the first page of my wife's I-693. You can compare it with yours. I'm starting to think the RFE might be due to lack of TB screening.

Yes, my wife had a complete medical examination by a CS here. Most of her vaccinations were already done abroad.

So you didn't have any TB screening? Isn't that a requirement, regardless of what visa you entered? I'm just saying, I thought it was.

Well, if you refer to the instructions of I-693 at http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-693instr.pdf Section III, Item 2. It is written that K-visa holders do not need to do complete medical exam if file within a year of last medical exam in home country... etc..

but sigh... right now, i'm actually thinking of redoing the whole medical exam just so that no more RFEs.... may I know how much you spent on the whole medical exam?

Thanks.

Okay. But you did have some type of TB screening test while in your country? If so, the CS should have transcribed that it was done. If not, then you are required to get it.

It is not the complete medical exam, but a TB screening, showing that you are either positive or negative.

Section III, number 2 says that you are not required to have another medical examination as long as...the medical examination did not reveal a Class A medical condition.

In the first page of your attachment, however, it fails to indicate that there is No Class A or Class B Condition. This MAY be the cause of the RFE.

The medical exam was $70. But with insurance, my wife paid only $30.

I'm sorry to hear you're getting RFEs. I hope that my posts were helpful.
