Just when I thought it was over. My fiance got his passport back yesterday (Monday in India's time zone) with a 3rd 221 for Administrative Processing. So, my fiance called the consulate immediately and finally got through. They told him to not to worry that our file is just pending AP. That they do not need anymore documents nd our file is complete. Just to wait for them to send a letter to him to submit the passport again once they have finished the AP. The caseworker that is helping us from our congressmens office was out today. So, I guess just more waiting which is getting really frustrating now.

I am from Algeria.I had an interview today. The consular retirned my passport too.She gave me section 221g.The problem was the age diffrent between me and my Fiancee. She is older than me.22 years diffrent.

you can read in this letter this sentences ((( Relationship appear to be for immigartion only.the case file is beig returned to USCIS with a memorabdum recommending revocation.Contact USCIS for futher information)))

please tell me what I can do.I am so disppointed.Do you think there is hope to get my visa if I contact the USCIS?

Yeah, guys its so frustrating. Now we just want answer. I feel like I am trapped in a prision with what they are doing. We can not move forward unless they finish all this AP. I am going to write a letter to DOS to see if they can get some more answers for me.

Seriously that is what I feel like sometimes. Its hard for me to believe the assuring words because everytime we have been told our file looks good something else pops up. This AP at the very end is very ridiculous. I am going to write to DOS and maybe they can help me. I hope they know I plan to get married April 25, 2010.

I would have your fiance contact the consulate, or even your representative and they can keep the case at the consulate. Once its back at USCIS you can still try to get it approved, but its a lenghty process. Don't give up and just keep contacting anyone that can help you.

Yes, its frustrating I can't imagine what they want.

They have been doing this since we started. I am now losing my patience.

On the other hand I have done some research. And they are treating his visa as a non immigrant visa. It seems like many of these people have had the same runaround. They have also gotten their passport back and given a 3rd 221g. So, I think this is Mumbai's process not to keep the passport too long until AP is finished.

I got the document scanned from my fiance and it was actually a letter from the consulate stating that we are in administrative processing and that he may have to pay additional courier fees once they request his passport. Also, spoke to someone at DOS and he assured me that my fiance should have his visa by the end of the month and we will not have to start over again.

Then today I got an email from the consulate stating we are in administrative review. They finally responded to me after two weeks. Maybe the congressional inquiry helped.
