Hi All,

I am posting this on behalf of a friend of mine and he badly needs help, and i am 100% every1 over here will give some advice for sure. Thank you in advance.

Ok so heres the deal my friend is a US citizen for some months now and has a girlfriend back in his home country. He was planning to apply for K1 visa as an wen the time comes bt wasnt on rush coz he was taking some time to settle down on career front.

At the same time the gal was applyin for some short term university programs on her own but the specific program wasnt avaible so she was waiting, then after sometime the program did open in a place in chicago and she doesnt wanted to dump it and she even got selected, got the admit , got the I 20 and then her interview for F1 visa is slated in a few days.

so now here is where my friend got stuck he now realizes tht he cant apply for K1 since it will take long time almost a yr or less from 129F to issuing visa and the girl has to be here by june or july this yr so K1 s totally out of question.

girl going back and he applying for K1 is also nt feasible coz of all the cost invovled etc etc

here are my questions

1. they get married after 3 months of she coming here what are the ways they can show there was no intent of marrige(there was no intent really)

2. the girl will be staying in chicago during her program most of the time whereas he lives in cleveland OH(though they will be travelling to see each other often) so what are the ways to show a bonafide marriage coz the Interviewing officer will definately ask how are they managing thier relationship and other diff questions.

3. Also are there any other ways to apply for some other catergory of visa

4. Any suggestions from readers will be really great

Please note:there are quite a few limitations to show joint accounts car loans etc etc on both thier name as she wont be having the SSN till she finds a on campus job or her EAD is approved

thank you

This is tricky situation... first of all why would she get married after only 3 months of entry if there was no intent; if so, there is the burden to prove REAL marriage, which (my opinion) aint fa real or THERE WAS PRIOR INTENT...

If he was gonna apply for K visa for her, obviobusly was intent to marry so coming on F-1 would be illegal (SORRY)

This is really sticky... Please PM/ send me personal message to address all questions...
