I recently received a NOA2 for my 129F. Will I receive notification when our case reaches and leaves NVC.

In our case (K1), we did not receive any notifications from NVC.

05/18/09 - Interview Passed/Visa Approved

05/29/09 - Applied for SS#
06/08/09 - SS# Received in the mail
06/12/09 - Applied for a Marriage License
06/19/09 - Wedding Day
07/03/09 - SS# under new name received in the mail

I have read many postings where a notice never arrived from NVC. You can call NVC in a week to 10 days after NOA2 to make sure they received your file. If all is well, it might have been sent to the Consulate by the time you call.

NVC has streamlined things and moves very quickly.

If you call NVC they will confirm your email address and may also ask for your fiancee's email address...they did ask for mine. And I was told we would both get email notice of when the case was sent to the embassy instead of a letter mailed.

Sort of. You will get a letter from NVC saying they have recived your case and will forward it to the consulate "within one week". It will also have your consulate case number. You can then schedule your medical exam.

We received two or three duplicate notices that the file was sent on.

Congratulations!!!!!

CSC approved NOA2 on March 3rd. So, I called NVC today, but they said they do not have my case yet. However, I do see here that some people received a letter from NVC within a week.
