Got my Green Card today!

POE was in Blaine Washington, Pacific Highway crossing on Feb 7th and received SSN Feb 22, about 12 days(minus holiday and sundays) after my POE

Green Card March 8th, one month from POE.

CR1 countdown to PR adjustment 2012

Good luck to all those waiting and still going through their journey!!!

Congrats on the quick progress!! Just a question....what does a greencard look like? Is it similar to a drivers licence or is it paper or what?? Just curious and I guess I really never thought about it!

wow, that's cool and painless! Did you have to do anything to get your SSN or was it just as easy as checking the box on your visa forms? I've heard that some people have checked the box and not gotten their SSN!

Yea, I received my SSN and Green Card with no problems, I wish the same for everyone. I didn't have to call the social security office or anything, they both showed up with no effort. Thanks everyone! Many blessings to you all! The green card is pretty...its like a drivers license with some weird negative film like thing on the back.

It is like a drivers license or credit card size. Your information like your A# , DOB, Country of origin...when the card expires and when it was issued. plus your photo and a fingerprint (not sure which finger)

The back has some holligraphic stuff depending on how you angle it in the light and a security strip type of thing.

PS - its NOT green :)

Yea..that would be me!! I finally had to apply at the SSA office in Puyallup last Thursday...I did receive the welcome to America Letter..sigh.....

I am heading back tomorrow to ge the number t least...then I can get my DL and hubby can do the taxes!!!
