Happy International Women's Day ladies! (F)

I tend to take for granted the more or less equal rights we have here, but it's a good occasion to remember that our mothers and grandmothers fought for those for us, and that there are still areas in the world where women do not have the rights and liberties we have in countries like Canada and the US.

... and there is still work to be done even here.

Damn I'm a minority then. Hell when I was married, my ex didn't know how to cook at all. She would eat TV dinners or get Wendy's when I wasn't around to make dinner...

I'm just a wanderer in the desert winds...

My fiance jokes that he wants to be a stay-at-home dad when we have kids. Since Im self-employed and work from home, he says I'll have to go work outside the house and "they'll just watch movies and #######". I get the feeling I wouldnt be coming home to a clean house with dinner on the table.

Lol I tell my wife all the time that if she gets a job that makes enough where I don't need to work anymore I'll raise the kids and become a trophy husband for her, working out about 3 hours a day hahaha

Well, my wife is going to be the breadwinner in our household for a little while, at least. It doesn't bother me at all, actually -- she's a couple of years older than me, and has a Master's. She's a hard worker and deserves her relative success.

In a couple of years or so I'll probably be in the same financial ballpark as her, but in the interim, I'm just proud of her for her career achievements. :)

My hubby says the same, and I know I wouldnt come home to a clean house with dinner on the table. Poor guy can't cook unless its already all done and he just needs to throw it in the oven. Not to mention he's told me he doesn't want to do diapers. His idea of being a stay at home dad is staying home playing video games while the babysitter takes care of the kids. :bonk:
