Form G-325A and Native Alphabet

Hello!

I'm still in the process of filling out all of the forms to file for the K-1. As I've mentioned earlier, my fiance is planning on doing his embassy interview in his native country (where he was born and has his residency for the past 11 months; Arabic country) with his European passport (where he spent the vast majority of his life). On the form G-325A it asks for your name to be written in your native language if the alphabet is not in Roman letters. Should I write his name in Arabic on the form or leave it as N/A given that he is applying with his European passport?

Thank you! :)

Clearly his native language/alphabet is Arabic, so do as asked. You can certainly "write" the characters but you can also have him type them and paste them in. Th I-129F will ask for both name AND address in Arabic, so you'll need to do it there too.

Thanks! I had to white out where I put "N/A" in one of the spaces so I could hand-write his name in Arabic (I speak it as well). Is whiting out a problem? The form already had his signature and he would have to send a new form otherwise.

Yes, that's fine. You'll probably want to type it in on the I-129F then.

Yea, you should definitely write it in Arabic (It'll probably be in Arabic on his birth certificate anyway), also make sure you got the exact translation of his name, don't misspell it.

Good luck with your visa!

You'll need the full name in native alphabet. For the petition, full name and address as indicated.
