There has been so much good news bouncing around this forum lately. It's pretty cool.

August is settling in here with gusto. It's like a sauna outside. Hot and foggy. It's hard to breathe. Yuck. Feel like I need another shower already.

Mohammed is finally starting to relax and accept that he's going to be coming. (I can hear him saying "enshaa Allah if I get the visa") He says that after everything until its become just one big long word that makes me laugh. I haven't seen him his usually bouncing self in months. Alhamdulellah.

I am so not into work mode today. I'm terribly sleepy. At least there will be more then 2 of us on phones today. Yesterday was nuts.

How's your day going?

I'm still laying in bed, surfing the net, thinking abt getting up to start my day - but it's so comfy here!!! 2 pooches at my feet, still a little dark in here, hmmmm could almost go back to sleep. Have a busy but short day at work, then home to do some garage sale work and take a load to my friends house. Then spend a few hours there pricing g-sale stuff for Saturday :star: .

Hi everyone. Amy and Jean, you guys deserve good news too. Inshaallah you will be posting your happy news soon.

I am still in disbelieve. Eleven days and Hachemi will be here. He is going to pick up his tickets tomorrow in Algiers. When he comes on the 12th he has to fly to Casa the day before from Algiers, so he can catch the early flight to JFK the next day. He told me that ROM will pay for his hotel room. I thought that was cool. Ok Morocco girls that know about Casa, Hachemi wants to see some things while he is there. Do you have any suggestions? I am so afraid for him to be in an unknown place by himself, but he says he will be fine. Today I need to mow the grass. So I better get going before it gets to hot. Hope everyone has a good day.

HI Meriem.

Casa is really easy to get around in and there is a train that goes directly from the airport to one of the main stations in Casa, Casa Voyagers. Casa really isnt a dream local but for a day he could certainly have a good time. He can visit the Mosque Hassan II - it should be seen, its beautiful...to the left of it he can give a hollar to my old neighborhood Dar Lubila (best hammam in my opionion is there..if he is looking for a refresher before his next leg of the journey, "Hamman Tarek" ). Lets see. . . There is the Square of Mohammad V which is basically the city center with gov. buildings and fountains...its quite pretty. The port is cool..good fancy resturants. The medina is fair. Im sure it will all be interesting for him. its a walkable city there are great great great people watching places. My favorite is called "Valencia Ice" its this coffee/ ice cream cafe right in the center of the most ridiculously unsafe intersection with shops everywhere..its on Mohammad V road and in the heart of another cool area called "Maarif" which is this amazingly great neighborhood that has all different shops and good familar food at easy prices. . lots of excited young girls shopping and young men checking out the scene, its so fun to go get a coffee and just watch everyone.

i would have to say Maarif is my favorite place in Casablanca. I could go and get knitting needles and goats cheese in neighboring shops.

Im psyched for him...a fun day in Casa.

good luck!
