On my RFE one of the items is--

HOUSEHOLD MEMBER ON THE PETITIONER/SPONSOR'S FORM I-864 MUST SUBMIT THE FEDERAL INCOME TAX RETURN SUBMITTED TO THE IRS FOR THE MOST RECENT TAX YEAR... AND ALL SUPPORTING TAX DOCUMENTATION.

-----Ok I am the intending immigrant, my husband is the sponsor, on his I-864 there are two household members in total, he and I. So in this RFE, what does it mean by "household member"??? Does it refer to the petitioner himself? Or Does it mean the intending immigrant--me, have to submit my tax return and supporting documentation??? We are not using any of my income or assets on his I-864. Why do they need my tax return?

THANKS FOR HELPING ME WITH THE QUESTION!

Do you have a joint sponsor?

Are you using your income/assets to self sponsor?

Okay so here is the example form: http://www.visajourney.com/examples/INS-Form-I-864.pdf and on page 15 there is 24(b). Did you fill any info in that part?

Do line 23, 24a and 24c match?

Page 14, for household size, did you make sure that it's only 2 (just you and your husband) or did he accidentally put a 1 for 24c (which he isn't supposed to)?

I do have a joint sponsor. I don't use any of my income or asset.

From what you are telling us, I assume they are looking for info from the joint sponsor. In your other thread you state that you are using the same address as your MIL. So as far as the USCIS is concerned you are living in the same household.

--they did request for my joint sponsor's tax documentations, but they listed that separately, using the word "JOINT SPONSOR".

We only put 2 household members on it--21 (a),21(b). In 23, "My current individual annual income" we put $0.00 because he is not working and I am not working either. So 24(a)and © is also $0.00.

It's a weird RFE isn't it?
