Hey guys,

I just got a new job (that pays more money :) ) and I don't know how to notify the USCIS of this job change. I don't see any forms on the USCIS website for change of employment. Should I just write up a brand new G-325A and give it to my wife when she does her interview? I know the HCMC Consulate is a tough one. They won't give my wife a hard time for this at the interview right?

I do not know how to answer this question. Through our entire vida process we were 100% honest with every question they had for us. If you are now making more money, you can not actually prove that since it is in the middle of the year, and since they only require last years tax numbers, switching to a job will not give them that updated info, but you are supposed to tell them where you are working if you are working, and if you do not and your fiancee at the interview tells them you are working at the new job on accident then all sorts of flags will go off. I say fill out a new one and send it to them, or have your fiancee take it with her and have her give it to them to be on the safe side, Jerome

USCIS doesn't require that you keep them appraised of your current job status. They only want your address kept current so that they can send you correspondence.

If I were in your shoes, then I would certainly want to find some way to make sure the consulate was aware of the new job, and that my fiancee also knew all of the details about the new job. If your new employer did a background check on you, then the details of that background check may be in your LexisNexis report, and the consulate may find out about the job anyway. If this wasn't disclosed in your documents, or (heaven forbid) your fiancee didn't correctly answer a question about it, I can easily imagine a CO using it as an excuse for a blue slip or even a denial. At the very least, you should probably include information about the new job with your I-134 - letter from employer, copies of paystubs, etc. Make sure your fiancee knows when you started your new job, where the company is located, what you do there, the name of your boss, etc.
