Today my fiancee went to police headquarters in Bangkok and they requested a copy of my passport. Nowhere does it mention in packet 3 and embassy website about this requirement. Their explanation was that the check is for fiancee visa hence they need a copy of passport of the fiancee. Is this a new procedure?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

regards, Bart.

When my fiancee went several weeks ago they asked her too but I told her not to worry about it. Although I had sent her copies with a bunch of other visa stuff for the interview, she did NOT take a copy

when she went to pick up her report and they did not ask her for it. She got her report. Just tell her to ignore them. I don't know why they are doing that. It has no bearing on her report. And we did not have NOA2 or Packet 3 yet but she took a copy of NOA1 with her.
