What to take to AOS interview?

I'm a little confused as to why they ask you to bring so many things that have already been submitted. Is this really necessary for AOS from a k1 visa? My thinking is this is a standard letter they send to anyone for an interview and perhaps with some other visas or situations some of this stuff wouldn't have been submitted yet.

Any advice?

You should have been keeping copies of anything submitted anyway so it should be pretty simple. Also, some documents were simply copies (like marriage licence) so the original should be taken to the interview.

My question to you would be, if you don't bring it, and they ask to see it, what are you going to say? It wasn't like you weren't told so if they make you wait longer for the greencard while you get the stuff together would you be annoyed? What if they decide to deny (not saying they will and I HIGHLY doubt it.. but still)..

Better to follow the rules. You have a letter telling you what they want. Take what they ask for and if they don't look at it, no harm done. If you don't take it and they want to see it... well... that's when you start to have issues...

I put it down to them just wanting to check that you have the originals of what you have submitted. As much of a pain it is to gather so many documents together (not to mention how heavy it all is!), I kind of kind of like having all that stuff with me because I KNOW that I have it all and if they ask for it, I'm not going to look like an idiot.

Yeah I agree, we took everything on the list, and they did not ask to see anything other than our daughters birth certificate. This was due to the fact she was born a month after we filed, so he had not originally submitted it. It was a lot of work to get it all together, but at least we had it if they had needed it. And it is now all in a nice binder, that we keep at home and have easy access to our documents.
