Why do I need to send my USCIS I-129F packet to my fiancee for her interview?

The I-129F specifically says for USCIS use only. So why would the consolate need this? They are part of Department of State. Will they ask for information from the USCIS I-129F packet?

Thanks,

Chuck

I think you misunderstand. The consulate is going to receive the entire packet you sent to USCIS, including the I-129F. You aren't sending a copy of the packet to your fiance so that she can give it to the consulate - the consulate doesn't need it because they'll have the original. You're sending her a copy so she'll know everything that you wrote on those forms and included as evidence. It will help her be better prepared for the interview.

EDIT: You should also send her the originals for any copies of documents and evidence you sent with the petition. The consulate may ask to see those originals.
