Aw shucks, Kathyryn, I may have gotten a laugh out of the deleted post. :)

Wakeup call for a certain Chinese lady!

Her day did not start well.

I drove by our house with my brother early this morning, and an unnknown pickup truck was in my driveway. I called the local cops. (My wife thought I was out of town for work)

They showed up, took my key, entered the house to see what was up. :)

My wife was ALONE, but locked in the bedroom. (I was out of town for work, and she is a little nervous being home alone, but she is free to come with me on my trips.)

Nobody else in the house. She told the cops the pickup was 'borrowed' from somebody she works for. (she's not working now)

The cop gave me the name of who it is registered to.

( I think it's the guy who calls on her cellphone, but SHOULD be blocked, now.)

My wife was upset. One officer took her to a chinese translator, who explained what was happening. The cop came back with my wife, saying my wife would not listen to the translator, and the translator was disgusted with her. :)

I moved my important stuff out, but they would not let me take the computer. I erased my accounts and files. (Not that there should be anything incriminating)

My wife was squawking about 'how can he leave me with no transportation, no money, and no food?"

The fridge and kitchen was well stocked, and she's been grocery shopping since I left home July 5, her favorite snack is fresh cherries...she had them in the fridge but they were not there when I left)

She has a pickup truck at her disposal, via her BF, I guess.

She has 800x more money in the bank that I do.

The rent and electricity will be paid until the end of september. She knows she needs to go somewhere before then. I'm open to buy her a one way ticket back to china.

She was informed she could have a witness present when I took my stuff out of the house. SHe has plenty of asian friends, but being asian, she would not call one to witness this. My brother did a 1200 mile roundtrip to help me move out. :)

Wait a minute....how long was this your house before she came here? Or did you two get the house together? I have been reading about VAWA fraud and visa fraud and the spouse of the USC having their cars and homes taken....homes and cars that were theirs before they even knew the foreign spouse. It is not enough for these people to pull a VAWA scam (YES, I KNOW THERE ARE SOME REAL VAWA CASES) but they want to walk with your life savings, home, car, and if they could even take your freedom.

The house is rented.

She thinks I owe her money for the year and a half we were married.

She called me today and said I cut her off from her family in China since I turned off the internet connection.

I suggested she use the library. She replied they don't have her chinese translation software at the library.

I guess she really doesn't need the computer to email or chat with her Chinese family?

I would tell the landlord exactly what is going on and that she is trying to scam for a green card. Also let him know about the thousands she has in her account and has embezzled most of it from you just in case she tries to not pay rent and make you do it. From what I have been reading these people run in packs and they know how to work the system and drain their ex dry.....a green card just isn't good enough anymore, they need to destroy you in the process.

I am on the lease. The lease is up at the end of September. I won't live there anymore, but I will pay the next two months rent. I also left most of the furniture there, (Not worth much, TBH) since the police said I needed to, and I never intended to leave her in an empty home.

The landlord knows what is up, and who to return the deposit to. :)

She also has been telling me about strange cars in the driveway overnight. :)

At the end of september, I'll move out what is left. I'm guessing my wife will vanish before then.

How did you meet her? Were you working in China or what it by friends? I know I was teaching English in China from early 2004 until late 2007 and every day I had Chinese women ask me to introduce them to American men.

i'm sure, my friend, that you are only making payments on the lease to conserve your credit rating.

More or less. My credit was temporarily really bad when we signed the lease. The landlord gave us a chance, and love the rent payment automatically showing up in the mailbox each month 5 days early.

2 months won't kill me, and gives me time to work, make money, instead of moving furniture. Wlll deal with that when it's cooler.

I met her on a defunct penpal type site, that was centered around a large city in her province. It wasn't exactly a dating site, but kind of an expat site.

I'd been in the province to meet another lady, and liked the area.

I re-read your original post and the thought just occurred (no disrespect to you)

that she may be involved in something illegal or immoral for which she is

getting money. I think the notion that she got money from her "dad" is absurd.

She doesn't seem in the least bit naive and may have some kind of racket

going on. To me it doesn't seem likely that she will change for the better, so

maybe it's best to cut your losses when you can.

chinese dads sometimes have a lot of cash squirreled away, and they are willing to invest it in their children with expectation of future return, no matter how heinous their children may be. i've seen it done before.

You may be right about that, it does make sense, but the bigger issue is the

behavior of the OP's wife. It's anybody's guess what she's up to but from what

he's reported she might be involved in something illegal. I would hope and

pray that all she's planning to do with the money is further her education, but

he has reported that she doesn't have much respect for that.

My stepson just graduated from the best university in Thailand. My wife has

sacrificed much more than the average American parent would have done

to see that happen. The result is that he just got a job with Nestle, one of

the top companies in the world. I don't think the OP's wife is on a similar track.

The money could be from anywhere, but her family was doing better than average for the province. She was living rent free in the parents old apartment, and the surviving father was in a nursing home type place with an attendant. It is possible the money was her cut of the sale of the apartment when she vacated it to marry me. One of the siblings was in a hurry for her to move out so it could be sold.

My wife is only interested in taking any shortcut, or the easiest path possible. Higher education? Only if you can buy it, correction....only if somebody would BUY it for her.

:)

She's 46. All she wants is to land a sugar daddy.

A friend notified her a local store was hiring, within walking distance. She mentioned she'd like to work at a clothing store.

I drove her there and she had trouble filling out the computer application.

They had some screening questions...

'Are you willing to work as early as 7:30 Am?' She selected 'No'.

'Can you lift up to 40 pounds?' She selected 'No'.

The application program told her 'sorry, you are not suitable for this opening' and ended the process.

I turned her around and pointed to the workers in the store, almost all of them late 60's or older.

'They can do this job. You can't?'

She didn't want to get up early......or have to lift anything. She's reasonably healthy, just lazy.

Well, now she knows she has to lie on the application. That will get her to the first paycheck before she's fired.
