I have my interview on 18th March and I don't know where 5 upper grosvenor street is..?

I can find Upper grosvenor street on google maps but can't seem to find number 5...

I am staying at a hotel on the outskirts, I chose Holiday Inn Newbury Park and I will be getting the tube to Bond Street, they have free parking and very good rates. I didn't want to drive in to London as I have done this before and had a nightmare!

Can anyone help me out..

I also have my medical next week and this seems quite easy to find on the map, I am going to Bentick Street.

Thanks in advance!

The US Embassy is in Grosvenor Square. 5 Upper Grosvenor Street might just be the mailing address. You won't be able to miss the Embassy, it's huge (and a bit ugly)! You'll see that it's fenced off for security and you'll also see a long line of people waiting to get in. Honestly, you can't miss it.

Here's a map I made showing the Embassy, Gould's (leave electronics), the medical exam place, and a couple of inexpensive hotels people have used. You can zoom the map in or out, move it around, and see bus stops and tube stations. Also, in the upper right it says "Map" with a down arrow. That's where you can click to see a satellite or hybrid view. The green pointer for the embassy is about where you will get in line.

Here's a street view. Give it time to load the pic. You might have to swing it around to the right. It's showing a long line working around the corner. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source...386792452830157

Easily found. Just look for the armed police guarding the place, the huge line and you've found it. :)

Thanks for all your help, wow I will have to stand in that loong queue?

My interview is at 9am, does that just mean arrive then and just wait in the queue?

I would advise against arriving that late. I had a 9am appointment and joined the queue at around 7:40am and still had to wait approx 20 minutes before I got inside. So get there around 7:30-8:00am. They don't see you in order of your appointment... it all depends on your ticket number so the earlier the better.

Thanks! You guys n girls on here are priceless! I will be sure to add any info after I have my interview and medical.

One other question, I was planning on driving to london for my medical and parking near Heathrow and getting the tube to Bond street, I have done this before and it took about 50mins to Kings cross so I'm guessing Bond street is about the same..

Train fares from up north are rediculous so I thought this would be my best bet. Does anyone else have any better ideas?

Where in the north are you from? I'm from the NW and just took a train. It cost approx £60 for off-peak. Can you can get to London for less than a train fare with petrol prices and parking fees?

I can drive there and back for around £50 of petrol. The train was going to be around £120 return. I was thinking of parking near heathrow, the car parks are around £15 per day.

I am really short of cash so I need the cheapest option, i am even using my dads car as its a diesel!

If I could find a cheaper train, I would take that.

I am in Stockton on Tees, in the North East.
