Anyone filing or filed within Canada

Hi,

We, my husband; naturally born Canadian and myself, naturally born, USC, have requested our appointment with Ottawa. We are ready to file our I-130, along with the other documents requested.

I was just trying to get an idea of how many other Canadians are in the process of waiting to head South! Also, it would be beneficial to watch one anothers time line and process. I'll update my time line as soon as appointment is scheduled!

We live in the Ontario region.

and on the 38th day...

the checklist and request for DS-230 arrives!!!! WooHoo! No sooner did I shut and lock the mailbox, I ran inside grabbed the prepared DS-230, Part 1 signed, (in blue) and Part 2 unsigned. Made copies, drove to Canada Post and sent it overnight...to arrive tomorrow by noon!

God is sooooo good...All the time! TY everyone for getting me over the last hurdle One more to climb!

I leave tonight for the US and am so thankful, I was able to have this bit of relief...not that hubby couldn't do it...but well...you females know what I'm saying...

Hi Lily!

This is choles's wife I was going to start just such a thread here, so I'm glad you did it for me! I'm so glad you heard back finally! And way to go on being so prepared, it took us three weeks to get our stuff back to them after we heard - you are so on top of things!! What's next for us, do you know? We're going to wait to hear back from Montreal with an interview appointment, is that it? We don't have all those steps that others who are going through NVC do, right?

Hope you have a safe trip to the US, though I know it's probably not a trip you wish to be taking now (I just saw your other thread)...I'm so sorry for your loss.

Take care and looking forward to sharing our journeys (though I tend to be much slower to post/reply as the kids keep me busy all the time).

Mar 25: Montreal letter says petition is approved, fill out DS-230 and checklist

Mar 26: Sent back DS-230

(As of) Apr 23: DS-230 still not logged by Montreal

Would love to get a June interview date, but highly unlikely.

Well, you and I have almost identical timelines...

We submitted our I-130 form in Calgary on March 19

Got our letter requesting our DS forms and checklist on May 7

Couriered it out today so will keep updating our time line from here.

All I have to add to the above is Apr 27: DS-230 logged by Montreal.

Guess it's time to give up hope for a June interview!
