I have my interview letter for form I485 but no any news for my EAD, is this normal?

It happens sometimes. Sometimes it gets posted but somehow "lost" (this has been happening a bit lately actually...).

You can make an infopass appointment if you like but with your gc interview coming up your EAD wouldn't be needed if you get the GC anyway. You SHOULD definitely mention it to the interviewing officer though to find out if your mail was stolen, or if they simply never sent one.

Best of luck :)

Also -- Please update your timeline so others can benefit from your experience and your profile to reflect that you are now AOS (pending). The timeline function is up the top called "immigration timelines". To update your profile click on your control panel and on the left is the function called "edit profile information". Then scroll down to Immigration status and changed to "AOS (pending)". Please also enter your beneficiaries country so we get "country specific" timeline information.

Thanks :)

Sorry. There is a timeline function in VJ. Up the top there is something called "immigration timeline". You click on "edit/add timeline" and you enter your email address and enter the info. The benefit is we're able to view it and then click to see similar timelines and so are you so that you know whether your case is progressing well, or behind, or whatever and so you have an approximate for when you get things etc.a

AOS2IL,

We are in the same situation. We received our interview letter last week (scheduled for March 26) but no EAD or update on USCIS website. Based on other posts I have read, it does appear that this happens on occasion. If possible, please keep me updated if you receive your EAD prior to your interview. Thanks.

For the 485, there were touches on 3/2 and 3/3 but no change in status. Prior to these touches, the last touch was on 2/9 -- right after my wife's biometric appt.

For the 765/EAD, the last touch was 2/9.

What type of AOS did you file? Is it for your spouse or yourself?

Thanks -- I really appreciate discussing this.

I 485 online status:

Acceptance

On January 5, 2010, your fingerprint fee was accepted and we have mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. Your case is being processed at our NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER location. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

During the acceptance step USCIS reviews newly received applications and petitions to ensure that they are properly filed (e.g. signed by the applicant, appropriate fees etc.) USCIS issues a receipt number for the application or petition, and sends a receipt notice to the applicant.

Applications and petitions that are not properly filed are rejected with an explanation of why the application is rejected and the corrective action needed.

The acceptance step is typically completed within 2 business days of when the application is received. With mail time it may take several weeks for you to get the receipt or rejection notice in the mail. If you do not receive your notice within 30 days of mailing your application, please contact our national customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

I 765/EAD online status:

Initial Review

On January 5, 2010, we received this I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or contact our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

During this step, USCIS initiates the background checks of the applicant/petitioner and identifies issues that may need to be addressed either during an interview or by asking the applicant/petitioner to submit additional information or documentation. USCIS reviews applicant's/petitioner's criminal history, determines if there are national security concerns that need to be addressed, and reviews the application/petition for fraud indicators.

If you have filed an I-485, I-589, I-751, N-400, I-90, I-821, I-131, I-130 or I-765, you can expect to receive an appointment notice to appear at an Application Support Center to have your fingerprints and/or biometrics taken. The timing of your appointment is determined by the number of applicants ahead of you that also need a biometric appointment. We try to schedule biometric appointments as quickly as possible and in most cases you will receive your appointment notice within 30 days of submitting your application. We will send your appointment notice approximately 14 days ahead of your scheduled appointment. It is important that you keep this appointment. If absolutely necessary, you can request that your appointment be rescheduled however, please be aware that rescheduling may delay the processing of your application. Please follow the instructions on your appointment notice if you need to reschedule.

The status on our I-765/EAD is identical to yours. For the I-485, we received a request for initial evidence in January. They requested my birth certificate and my W-2/1099s. The status for the I-485 on the USCIS website now reads that they have received the evidence that I sent in. However, just like yours, it does not note that our interview has been scheduled.
