I met hundred of Filipinos in United States specifically California, Nevada, and Filipinas on internet I chatted with. Sometimes, I'm wondering how my other fellow Filipinos think or feel or handle about people who say you're lucky to have him once they found out about your status. I personally didn't dream of marrying an American, but a Briton man. Yes, I did date someone from London for four years. I broke up with him due to his perfectionist problem. For example: he told me how to sit, how to hold glass, spoon, teaspoon, don't burp like a cow, and so on! Of course, I appreciated he taught me how to be formal included how should I live my life. However, I get pretty little suspicious with women telling me HOW LUCKY I AM TO HAVE MY HUSBAND BECUASE HE BROUGHT ME IN UNITED STATES. Honestly, I become skeptical about women from my own country that some of them may not looking for genuine relationship, but take advantage of foreigner men looking for good Filipinas-we are known as good mother and wife.

Here is my questions:

1.) Do you believed in choosing partner that you have to be wise or just go with I may be lucky with him?

or

2.) What do you think of Filipina women that just looking for men on internet hoping to get lucky?

3.)Do you ever think it will affect our next generations if we get more bad Filipinos in US? If yes, are you willing to help the immigration someday to prevent this case?

Is that line really bothering you too much that you are willing to help immigration with fraud issues?

We have 2 main reasons why we are here...its either we are using our heart (LOVE), because we want to be with the person we love and being practical, which they always say as fraud or just using USC to seek greener pasture.

Whichever, who cares?! that's their life....

And how will you define "BAD FILIPINOS"? are those the one who kill, rob banks? or because they commit fraud that they are BAD? then I would say Filipinos are not the only people who are bad here in US, some countries do that too. So are you also gonna report them to immigration too?

Maybe friends tell you that you are lucky that your husband brought you here because they know that your husband love you so much that he wants you to be with him, that's why he put forth effort to bring you here. IT's not that easy to bring someone here, you have to have a lots and lots and lots and lots of patience for that.

And if you are worried that maybe in the future your kids would meet those BAD FILIPINOS, then tell them to stay away from them. It's still how you raise your kids, how you teach them moral values in life.

And sweetie, don't think about other people's life too much......it will kill you.

And they are gazillion of Filipinos ive met na mayayabang nakatungtong lang sa states, but excuse me, i wont waste my time thinking of them or thinking why they are here or whatever reasons they have.....i have my life and they have theirs.....ika nga ni claudine ""MAHAL MO BA KO DAHIL KAILANGAN MO KO? O KAILANGAN MO KO KASI MAHAL MO KO"?--from movie MILAN....so whatever reason they have, its their choice....at ika nga ni John Lloyd kay Bea "...AND YOU CHOSE TO BREAK MY HEART" (and that's for the BAD FILIPINOS who chose to break someone's heart just to be here)

I'm not worrying about them. I'm just checking others' reaction, and/or if they get same comments. People that know us both said, "You're Fortunate, he is not jealousy man, good man. I find it downright naive for the foreign spouse to pick out a "Pinay" wife from the poorest of municipalities and be utterly surprised that he has to support the poor family of his new wife. More so, I find it a but dumb for them to complain about it to their fellow "kanos", make generalizations about Filipina women in general and assume all Pinays are like that. Augh. First of all, pick out a poor wife from another country, you also have a chance to encounter the same "problem" Duh. You also chose to marry a Pinay, therefor you should have the knowledge that it's part of their culture to help their families even after marriage.

I'm not saying it's RIGHT to ask money for remittances constantly. But that group large enough to become a "statistical" sampling will have to check the backgrounds of their spouses too. Assuming they met in one of those dating sites. How many well-educated, independent working women will actually want to put their profiles in Filipinadatedotwhatever??? They judge from a very limited group of Filipinas...

Try marrying someone from the bigger cities, educated in the best universities, working and earning their own money...Do you think they will still opt to ask money from you for remittances? I don't think so...

Stereotypes

Marrying a woman with high income would be different than low income woman-too much to discuss. However, I'm not really bothered with other Filipinos like to help their family. I think, it's really nice they're generous. In contrast, some is really angry with Filipinas whether she is good or not. Therefore, many of bigoted people are judgmental. They just believed what they heard, or read on internet from angry posters without investigating it same as card stacking.

I personally agree with your point. Regarding my main topic, it's about why some unfortunate Filipinas weren't looking for someone that they really deserved? Try to play her dice with wide open eyes may prevent it. Meaning s/he to think harder. They're not aware that some man may be just want to fulfill his predicament. I'm not saying she have to put up with his #######. On the bright side, divorced rate of Filipinos are less in US because we're family oriented, we don't just leave our spouse because he is running out of money. I know there is some number of crazy spouse.

okay first i appoligize when you switch to tagalog you loose me but the problem of reporting the bad pinays is a moot point yes someone gets hurt someone gets hurt no matter what causes a relationship to fail maybe they came over for the right reasons and things changed also do you report the bad americans who search and bring over pinay wifes so they have someone to warm thier bed, take care of thier houses, babysit thier children,or just to take care of them and look good on thier arm i am married to a pinay and have a lot of americans tell me i am lucky and i agree i married a woman i love that makes me lucky live here or the philippines makes no difference if you think pinays can be cruel try americans they can be just as cruel the key is if you do not like someone or thier oppinion then do not associate with them and as for helping thier families in my oppionion that is what families should do if you all help each other then fewer people in the world would suffer so remember if you do not like they way they talk ignore them if you think they are here for fraud that is your opinion and you are allowed that but have you walked in thier shoes remember judge not lest you be judged we all answer for our own chioces and as for the land of milk and honey whose to say some may believe that but then the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence i hope this does not get me bashed to bad and these are my opinions not necessarially my wifes so just pick on me and i hope you find your answers

Maybe you have a different idea of what "lucky" means when finding a partner, but the reality is that finding a compatible partner for a lasting relationship is difficult for nearly everyone...or at least everyone who is willing to admit it. A woman who agrees to go on a blind date set up by her friends, is she hoping to get lucky? We all want the same thing...to find someone who is going to love us for the rest of our lives...and I don't care who you are or how you go about it...it always requires a bit of "luck."
