It's coming, bitсhes. By the time the midterms come around, that the Federal government has a role in ensuring every US citizen access to health care will be in law. You tried to stop it, but you failed.

I expected it before even now. Hell how can a party have a fail safe majority screw it up so bad? They still have it all and can do it tomorrow but they have done nothing since Obama the Socialist came to power. Well except for spend a ####### load of money.

I'll be happy if they get it done. And I'll keep an open mind in November. But as things stand I'm probably voting Republican for both IL Governor and US Senator from Illinois. The Dems made rotten picks in the Primaries, and I won't vote for rotten picks. If I'm any kind of warning light of where moderate Democrats stand, they're gonna lose a ton of seats this fall.

I think the Left is in more trouble than we even know.

I visited with my parents today, they are living in Columbia SC now (God only knows why).

Last time I went to see em we had our usual "political round table" ... which often gets pretty loud and animated.

At my last visit, t3-4 months ago, they were really in the can for Obama and the Healthcare plan.

My dad is like center and my mom is center-left, (even socialistic on some ideas).

Anyway, I was rather surprised the wind had gone out of their sails about Obama and even my shots at Health care had little resistance...... other than to ask me what "My bright ideas are".

I certainly wouldn't say they are turning into Teabaggers yet but by the next visit ... who knows.

Granted we are talking about two old Retired people with too much time on their hands but.... It surprised me they were not only scoffing that Obama is no better than bush but, they see the healthcare plan as

even a bad idea now ... mostly because of the national Debt but also because they think Corporate interests have had too much time to pencil in what they want.

The future focus will be on fixing the mess that's left if this gets passed. With a Republican Congress, you can bet there will be deals made which further neuter the legislation. And for all the Democrats apparent certainty, this thing may still not pass. If it was a sure thing, Pelosi and Reid would have sent this for a vote already.

The legislation will be improved, not neutered. Not even the Republicans will take legislation that tries to cover 30 million people and kill it. They will improve it for the same reason they improved social security and medicare when they had the opportunity. They're not stupid.
