Renew passport while in AOS stage?

The AOS stage of my greencard is taking forever (I am going back for my 4th interview soon, they keep sending me letters to come see them, and then not knowing why they sent me a letter when I get there, beyond the initial interview of course). But my passport is expiring soon in May so I need to renew it soon. What do I need to do for this? Do I just file to get a new Canadian passport, and then inform the USCIS by some means? Or do I need to let them know ahead of time that the passport they have on file might not be the right number if they do a check sometime in the future between now and me getting my new one?

Also, how do I go about changing my passport with them? I have searched all over and can't find answers.

Thanks!

-Jason

At this stage of the process, the USCIS is not concerned about your passport. You should get it renewed via the prescribed process for Canada

YMMV
