Step-Daughter US Citizen age 13 - EXPEDITED

Hello all

Not sure what this would really fall under, but hoping someone may have advice for me, even if they have not experienced it personally!

I am a British Citizen, but now a permanent resident in the USA, have been for 6 years now. My husband is a US Citizen. I have a daughter, aged 13yrs who was living in the UK with her Father (my ex-husband), all was well with that arrangement (she didn't want to live here!) However her Father has recently been diagnosed clinically depressed, drinking and violence problems have occurred, and long story short - he is leaving his wife who is in turn booting my daughter out, leaving her homeless. (I am flying out in a few weeks when he leaves to take my daughter to my Mothers so she's not on the streets type thing) Anyway that was the short version - sorry!

My husband (US Citizen) applied for the I-130 for his step-daughter as "Unmarried child of a US Citizen" and it was expedited because of the circumstances, approved and sent to the National Visa Center. They let us know on Tuesday that they have sent it to London to the Embassy for processing.

As this is an expedited case - does anyone know how long it will take to get the interview in London? Or if indeed it is generally faster for a child? This is an expedited child.. so again sorry this is quite specific!

Thank you so much! I really hope it is fast. Hate her being in limbo like this - especially re schooling.
