Packet 3 & 4 Received but confused

Dear Vj folks,

I am glad to say that we have received the packet 3 & 4 for the k1 interview at the US embassy in abu dhabi, U.A.E. But I, the petitioner, who lives in chicago received this package from the UAE embassy in washington. I was told that the packet 3 & 4 would be received by my fiance on the other side which is dubai because he resides there and the interview packet is for him to fill up all his information and include documents of affidavit of support and proof from my side. But I dont understand why the packet was sent to me here in the US and not to my fiance in Dubai. Any comments folks?

That shouldn't have happened, call the center and ask them about it, you'll probably need to forward it to your fiance.

This cannot be right. How would the UAE Embassy in Washington have Packets 3 and 4 to send. The UAE Embassy in Washington knows nothing about Packets 3 and 4.

That is what I don't understand either. The envelope clearly has a big stamp saying, UAE EMBASSY, WASHINGTON DC. I read a previous post in VISA JOURNEY about a profile name ELHAM. She is from Iran and she said her fiance in the USA received it and not her and he had to bring it to her. Thats why i want to confirm it.

I received my fiancée's letter from the US Embassy in Manila, saying her case was eligible to scheduled for a visa interview. It came addressed to her at my address in the States.

You may want to go ahead and open it and make copies, so you will know what she is getting, and then send it over to her. In our case, I scanned everything sent to us, and printed them out on a good color laser printer. I kept the originals in a file, which I took with me when we went to her interview.

The UAE Embassy in Washington DC has absolutely nothing to do with a K1 visa process. The US Government handles its own immigration matters. Look again at the return address and I think you'll see the packet was sent by an agency of the US Government, not any Embassy in DC.
