Question on I-129f

Part C. Other Information

1. If you are serving overseas in the Armed Forces of the United State, please answer the following.

Should I leave this blank or write N/A ???

I looked at two sample I-129F's

One sample had this question empty and the other had "I am not in the military service" listed.

I think N/A would be best???

It says IF you are .... PLEASE ANSWER.

If you are not. Then don't answer and leave it blank. Typically though it's best not to leave blanks but in this case it says IF which means you ONLY fill it in if it applies to you.

The question reads "If you are serving overseas in the Armed Forces of the United States, please answer the following."

As a contractor, you are not IN the armed forces, right? So N/A would be the correct answer.

Never leave anything blank - that's a recipe for an RFE.
