Should I pay the $70 AOS fee now?

Hello everybody!

It's the 1st time I post here but I have been following this forum for quite a few months now.

I filed for both of my parents in Nov 2009 and I finally got my mom's case approved on 02/24/10. I still have yet to receive anything for my dad.

Today I got the email from the NVC to pay the $70 for the AOS. Of course I want to pay it ASAP but I am concerned that if I do it before my dad's petition is approved, I would have to pay another $70. I have read that you only have to pay it once for both of them but I don't know if both cases need to be approved when making the payment or if it doesn't matter.

Should I wait another week to see if his case is approved? Or should I pay it now?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

11/14/2009: I-130 mailed for both parents living abroad

11/16/2009: Packet delivered

11/23/2009: Checks cashed

11/25/2009: NOAs received

02/24/2010: I-30 approved for mother

03/02/2010: Case Number assigned by NVC and registered email addresses

03/04/2010: Rcvd email for AOS and DS-3032 for mom

03/22/2010: I-30 approved for father

03/23/2010: Paid AOS for both parents

03/30/2010: Rcvd email for AOS and DS-3032 for dad

03/31/2010: Emailed DS-3032s from both parents' email addresses

04/06/2010: DS-3032s accepted and Rcvd IV fee bill by email for both parents

04/20/2010: Paid IV fee for both parents

04/24/2010: Mailed both sets of AOS for both parents

04/27/2010: AOS packets delivered

05/25/2010: Mailed DS-230s for both parents

05/28/2010: DS-230s delivered

06/18/2010: RFE- Missing petitioner's marriage and birth certificates **Weird as I mailed both of them**

06/21/2010: Called NVC, case was escalated and a supervisor will review paperwork, I'm to call in 2 weeks!!! grrrrr

07/05/2010: Called NVC one more time, I was told I did not send all the information (not true as I have copies of the documents sent) so I have to send "missing documents" again

07/16/2010: Mailed "missing documents"

07/19/2010: "Missing documents" delivered

07/21/2010: "Missing documents" received and entered in the system

08/19/2010: Sign in FAILED and cases completed per AVR!

09/01/2010: Rcvd email for interviews on 10/21/10. YAY!!!!!

I filed 2 separate petitions for my 2kids and only paid 1 $70 AOS for both.Your mom's AOS receipt will include your dad's.

10/02/09: NVC Case #s assigned to both parents and emails regd.

10/06/09: Rcvd. emails for DS-3032 and AOS Fee ( Paid AOS Fee same night)

10/07/09: Emailed DS-3032 ( Did mail too via Fedex )

10/08/09: DS-3032 received by NVC

10/08/09: AOS Fee Status "PAID"

10/09/09: I-864 Affidavit of Support mailed via FEDEX

10/16/09: DS-3032 Entered in NVC System

10/19/09: IV Fee Bill Generated

10/20/09: Rcvd IV Fee Bill Email and Paid $400 for each parent

10/22/09: I -864 Entered into NVC System as per NVC Operator

10/22/09: IV Fee BILL Status Changed to PAID

10/23/09: Mailed DS-230 Documents Set to NVC

10/26/09: DS-230 Received by NVC signed by J.DESMOND

10/28/09: I -864 Accepted

10/29/09: Rcvd Checklist Email

10/30/09: AVR changed to " We received checklist response on 10/29/09"

11/18/09: LOGIN Failed in the morning...AVR message not changed yet...

11/18/09: Talked to Operator and it is under "FINAL REVIEW"

11/20/09: CASE COMPLETED on 11/19/09

12/02/09: Rcvd Emails for Interview on 01/08/2010

12/04/09: Medical Appt on 12/08/09 at Hyderabad

12/09/09: Medical Completed
