So I just got the NOA1 of my AOS and it says a lot of things about the biometrics and stuff but there's a lil stamp at the end that says "Unable to process (with hand writting) and Action completed approved for filing (with stamp letters)" I don't understand what is that supposed to mean... then I got an envelope inside with the date they got it with a lil yellow sticker that says return tu sender insufficient address unable to forward" :( I don't understand a thing... if someone could help me here plwwwwwwease!

thank you :)

and if someone could tell me more about the biometric thing it would be awesome :)

I think it would be appropriate for you to make an Infopass appointment at your local USCIS office, bring in the NOA and a copy of your file and ask them what is going on. Something definitely sounds messed up and there is a lot of conflicting information on that NOA. Talking to an immigration officer in person sounds like the most direct route to getting things straightened out.

Biometrics means taking your fingerprints and your photograph. The fingerprints are sent off to the FBI for a security check to make sure you have no criminal record in the US, and then your photograph is printed out on your green card when you receive it. The biometrics are easy. You receive a letter giving you a time and a place to go. You show up with the requested documents (identification and the letter, primarily), fill out a form, then they take your fingerprints digitally and take your photograph. In and out - the longest part is usually waiting to be called up and in most cases that is only 10 or 15 minutes.

To make an infopass you go to the USCIS website at http://www.uscis.gov and on the lower left hand corner select 'Schedule an appointment/infopass", then just follow the directions.

Good luck in getting this sorted out.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
