Mohammed is having his A.O.S. Interview on 4/7/10 and I filed the I-485 on 10/09 and his Medical was 4/22/09. I didn't send with his I-485 the Medical Exam I-693 and we didn't receive an RFE for it. I did send a copy of the Vaccination Documentation Sheet showing which vaccines he had with the I-485. Since we didn't receive an RFE do we need to have a Civil Surgeon see him again?

Thanks

If you didn't get an RFE for it, you shouldnt need to get it now, but you always can just incase they ask for it while you are at the interview. He wouldn't need a full medical, but they may ask for the CS Vaccination I-693, just to verify again that his vaccines were done. You can also just say (if they ask) that you were under the impression they had all the information they needed and dont have it available because you didn't get an RFE for it. Thats if they ask for it at all, which is doubtful.

Thank you for your response. I still have the copy of his vaccine worksheet the Doc give him in Egypt. I will bring another copy of it, incase they lost it somewhere with all the transferring they did with his case.

I would have the I-693 done anyway. Why take the chance that this may be the only thing during your interview that will hold up you AOS. Read and reread the section on your I797C Appointment Notice that tells you the items you must bring to your interview as it may be buried in the wording.

I am in the same situation as you are.... still thinking if I should go to the CS or not.... and to tell you the truth I am inclining more to take my chances and just bring the medical copies of what I have already to the interview. Let's hope that this will be enough...

Hi Everyone,

I'm also in the same situation. What was the verdict? Did you go to a CS, or no? If no, did it matter?

Thanks.

Hello,

My husband had his medical done in morocco 4/10. He brought it with him when he came into the country and now USCIS says they dont have it anymore. They dont know where they put it.

My husband also has the paper with his vaccinations and they would not accept that. They said they need the full medical even though they lost the first one.

If you didnt have the interview for AOS i-485 they will give you the RFE at the interview. My husbands doctor in morocco says she doesnt have copies of the medical anymore. We are trying to find how to locate the missing medical exam so that we dont have to pay for a new one. Let me know how your situation turns out.
