Financial support for UK fiance

Hi all,

As I wait ever so patiently (NOT!) for my NOA2, I've been trying to get together the financial support docs. for when the petition hits the embassy. From what I've read the type of evidence required can vary from embassy to embassy. So, I thought I'd check in and see what other people have sent in the past. So far I've got:

-US tax forms from 2008 and 2009. Both are foreign earned income from the UK, but 125% of the poverty line. Although, with the crash of the £, it didn't put me too far over the line. I was a student for most of 2007 and was considered a dependent of my parents, so didn't file taxes myself.

-a job offer letter from my current employer (stating salary and job title on business letterhead), which began this week.

-I should be receiving a pay stub later this month, which I can then send onto my fiance

Just to clarify, I was unemployed from Nov-Feb, as I'd just moved back to the US (I'm a USC) and found it almost impossible to apply for jobs abroad. I also don't own any property, stocks, bonds, etc.

Will there be anything else I need to send as evidence of financial support? They won't want to see pay stubs from my old job in the UK, will they? I would think they were more interested in my new job, which pays well above the min. requirements. I was a bit concerned about my income for 2008 and 2009, but a) it was another country and I feel like I earned a decent salary for someone my age in that country and b) it's in the past and I have a new job now. I wasn't thinking of getting a co-sponsor, although it could be easily done. Am I wrong in thinking I don't need one? Have I got enough here?

Have you looked through this page from the London Embassy website re: meeting the public charge requirements? >>> http://london.usembassy.gov/cons_new/visa/iv/faffidavit.html

It should help you to know what the CO is expecting to see.

You may want to look through the UK regional forum as well to see others' experience with London.
