Sheesh seriously... I shouldn't have been forced to pay for the roads that you drive on everyday

0r the horse that he rode in on.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Yeah, but granny doesn't want to take of the kids while the parents both work. She would rather live on her own, and not be a burden to her children.

Well, then she clearly can afford it.

"Beggars can't be choosers." Ever heard that expression?

What about people with no living relatives? Just wondering what people would do with them. Let 'em die?

You don't unless you pay gas taxes.

Though, you do benefit from the roads unless you plant/grow/farm/manufacture all of your own goods.

Churches, Charities, etc.... There's plenty of ways out there.

No one should be forced to take care of anyone however.

You would advocate letting everyone who is not working or wealthy die?

Every member of society has value.

Every member of society has value.

People are charitable and would take care of others in one way or another. There are plenty of options out there even on local levels that many don't realize.

Fine, limit Social Security to those who are disabled or handicapped, have no income and

no living relatives.

This should be enough to make the system solvent.

It's tough sometimes. I see older women living by themselves, in unhealthy conditions, but you are right, it is their choice. They want their privacy, and their pets, and and their independence. It's a shame, really. Sometimes the families have to step in, and take responsibility for their stubborn and childish parents.

I know I had a tough time getting my mom to sell the family home, and move into a retirement community, but now she much happier where she is living now.

Even BY?

Sigh. Even BY.

IF BY is a real person. And if he is not going by another name these days...haven't seen a post from him lately?
