DCF China need advice

I filed in person at the consulate in Guangzhou on Jan. 12, and they accepted it but then 6 days later we received a RFE in the mail asking for further evidence. In addition to the required documents, I originally gave them a timeline of our relationship and about 50 photos with captions spanning the year+ since we've known each other, but they said they couldn't determine a bona-fide relationship based on that evidence alone. So, we sent them more evidence, including chat logs and cell phone records, a letter from my employer/university stating that she lived there together with me, and a detailed EOR letter. EMS web site indicates our package to them was delivered on Jan. 29, but we haven't heard anything back since.

Should we continue to wait, or is there any way I can contact them to see if it was actually "received" in their system and what the current status of my I-130 petition is? We're getting a little worried since the RFE letter said we should respond to them in 60 days or else they'll consider our case to have been abandoned.

You could go to American Citizen Hour (ACH) and inquire there.

There is also an web email portal for the IV unit - sometimes they respond in 24 hours, sometimes not for weeks.

If I were in yer shoes, I'd be faxing 3 times a day about it, until a response was made (but that's me, I'm verra ####### about this stuff).

Good news, I got a response from them after sending an email to the inquiries address. After I confirmed again that EMS showed it had been delivered, they said they'd check their mail room. I also sent an email to the concierge at White Swan to confirm whether the packet I sent was picked up by the consulate. We now have received P3. :thumbs:
