Alright. The US Embassy in London received our petition (K1). Now it's time to fill out the affidavit. I work part time because I'm a student. My mom is willing to be our cosponsor, but I'm a little confused when it comes to these forms. From what I've gathered, it's my understanding that both my mom and I will fill out the I-134 and send it to my fiance for packet 3. It will not be until we apply for AOS that we each fill out the I-864. Is this correct?

Thanks for everything.

Correct.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

also, do I have to send a letter from my employer if she does? or do we both?

Usually the one shouldering the financial responsibility will need this letter - but if your working - I would provide one anyway (along with tax transcripts).

It will only help your case.

You and Mom each fill out a separate I-134 and you send both of those. Yes the I-864 is for AOS time.
