Went to the local Immigration office yesterday. Both Alla and Leonid had their fingerprints taken as well as photos.

No problems, no hassles, in and out within 30 minutes.

Biometrics were for both their GC and EAD applications.

Phil (Lockport, near Chicago) and Alla (Lobnya, near Moscow)

As of Dec 7, 2009, now Zero miles apart (literally)!

LL would you tell me the process to get the 10 GC? I know I need to file within the 90 days prior to the end of the second year which for us is coming up soon.

Yep. It's pretty straight forward, comparitavely. You just file a form I-751 located here: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...00045f3d6a1RCRD

The form itself will take probably 15-20 minutes to fill out. You'll send a front/back copy of 2-yr green card and possibly some other things depending on your exact situation. Then most of the work is evidence of relationship. That's pretty much it.

More detailed info in the VJ guide to lifting conditions here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...p;page=751guide

Compared to AOS, it's quite a bit easier. Really the only time-consuming part is evidence.

Yes, isn't that amazing??!!!

I know for Alla they took digiital prints of both hands and then each individual finger. For him only the whole hand and the digital pik for both.
