When was the date of the last use that she admitted to? The procedure is that the ban is 3 years from the last day of use. However, sometimes the ban will be three years from the admission date.

I'm sorry, but it's a nonwaiveable ban. If your wife admitted to drug use then there is no getting out of it.

If anyone plans on admitting prior drug use at the medical interview they should either not go or expect to receive the ban. I'd suggest you go to www.immigrate2us.net where you can find similar cases in the Mexico subforum.

my wifes visa was denied in cairo for admitting to the doctor that she had tried thc one time. whats the procedure? can it be reviewed? pls help

I am not sure what to tell you since you are already married. In the Jamaican forums, there are those who were on K-1, went through similar, ended up marrying and reapplying for CR1. Their spouses are now here now. I can give you a few names if you want to PM them.

I'm sorry to hear that .But as i told you before they will deny her and they will ban her for about 3 years .There is nothing more you can do .I guess if they ban her she will not be able to get any kinda visa to USA for 3 years .

Everyone has to know that admitting to any prior drug use can result in this ban. I already said it, but if someone plans on admitting to prior drug use EVER they should either not go to the interview or be prepared to receive the ban.

but we don't advise people to do that on vj as that's against the tos.
