Hi all Vj members,

My daughter will have an interview this coming week for her IR2 (mother still 10 yrs green card holder) and if everything turns okay we will travel to US at the end of the month, but the problem is she cant stay longer in the US because she still studying, and we cant wait for her green card, is it true they issued I-155 stamp on her passport so she can go back in the US without any problem. Please any advise is appreciated.

how much longer does she have? she has 6 months to enter the country.

if its longer, she would need to wait for the GC and then apply for the Advance Parole

I'm not sure how many times she can use the i551.

Incorrect... A immigrant does not need to wait for the GC as the POE stamps the I-551 in the passport which is valid for up to one year.. also a GC holder does not need advance parole... they are immediately a resident....

The main issue is making sure she "maintains" her residency...

YMMV
