PR pending in Canada + Domicile in USA: CONFLICT??

Hey folks,

My US-citizen spouse has a pending PR application for herself in Canada..

Since that has taken a LONGGG time, in the meantime, we decided maybe we'll file for MY PR (greencard) in the USA now.

If she choses to file a PR application for me (Canadian citizen) to acquire greencard in USA, is this a conflict?

Will either US or Canadian officials care? Perhaps reject both HER PR app to Canada and MY PR app to USA?

Will they even know? Will they ask such a question during a potential interview?

I thought I was reading that if my USC wife has a PR in Canada, but then she proves domicile and moves back to US then she will lose her CDN PR? <-- I mean this doesn't make sense to me... I thought once you have PR, u simply have it and you're done! Can you lose it?

Thanks all......

I can't comment on the first section (re: petitions for Can/US PR), but it's apparently quite easy to lose your US PR (if you leave the country for something like 6 months or more), however very easy to retain your Canadian PR. Supposedly your wife will maintain her PR status as long as she is living with you (Canadian spouse), no matter what country you're living in. But that time spent out of the country won't count towards time accrued for citizenship.
