Tomorrow we officially Start our journey- (filing I-130)

Timeline

Well tomorrow will finally be here and my husband will be filing our I-130. Again thanks to all the guidelines and help we're hoping to get through this small part without RFE's.

I just want another set of eyes ensuring that we have everything in order.

Here's my cover letter that explains it all.

Dear Sir or Madam:

Enclosed please find the Form I-130, Petition for CR-1 for my wife (me) and supporting documents as follows:

* Application fee - $355

* Form I-130

* Form G-325A and photograph of the petitioner

* Form G-325A and photograph of the beneficiary

* Evidence of US Citizenship

* Copy of our marriage Certificate

* Copy of a recent statement from our energy Bill

* Copy of our credit cards (AMEX) showing a joint account

* Copy of our wedding photos

* Copy of a lease agreement

Copies of documents submitted are exact photocopies of unaltered documents and I agree to submit original documents to an Immigration or Consular officer at a later date, if required.

02/23/2011: Interview APPROVED!!!!

03/04/2011: Visa Recieved

03/04/2011: POE: Lewiston Bridge, Buffalo, NY

01/14/2013: I-751 Packet Received (via certified mail)

01/18/2013: NOA1 Letter Received

I thought that it wasn't needed just if you had it. The affidavit.

Thank goodness. I thought I read through the guide throughly and thought as you just reaffirmed that it was a suggestion but not needed.

Seems like the affidavits are more useful for couples who haven't been married very long, whereas if you've been together a while you're more likely to have concrete evidence of financial co-mingling, etc. :)
