How about you bring the one sole example I asked for to support your claim that states continued to deny interracial marriages after the Supreme Court ruled such discrimination unconstitutional. I asked for one lousy example and you can't even bring that. But you want to see red meat? Then bring it. You can't and you know it. The 'gay debate' is not one that usually ends up very well.

Too many people who can't stand the idea of gay people and too many people who fail to realize those gay people aren't harming them (or society for that matter) in any way.

The sooner people realize that 'gay people' are people too and just want to live their lives as freely as everyone else, the better off we'll be.

With that being said though, I can't stand the flaming idiots at pride parades/rallies... They make the 'gay community' look bad. Granted, I suppose this is the case for all activists.

Well, at one point...a few days ago and in another thread...there was SOME intellegent debating. However, one party would never give their arguments clearly and just kept saying (and keeps saying) how, if they do, we will only use it to harrass them more or something, and the other party just keeps insulting the first partys intellegence. An intellegent debate consists of two or more partys talking about their points of view with CLEAR, CONCISE arguments, without insults and without sidetracking all over the place. I did have hopes in the beginning for this, as a good debate can be a bit invigorating. But I guess that is not to be on MOST internet forums, and VJ is no different. Seems the conversations always have to denigrate to the lowest common denominator.
