Green Card approved!!!!  :dance: I just got back, I had to grab some food as I didn't even have coffee this morning!!!! I will post the below in tehe review section too.

We got to the building around 25 minutes before the interview. We cleared security and we entered the office. It was relatively busy but not too crowded. The guy at the desk told us the officer would call us. No restarant style buzzer in San Diego!

We got called at 9:25, around 10 minutes after our 9:15 appointment. I must say the officer was very nice. Not super friendly of course, but he smailed a lot and was very kind throughout the whole thing. We swore us in, then asked for my passport, my birth certificate, Matt's driver license and birth certificate. I guess either that or passport are ok as proof of citizenship.

The first thing he did was asking Matt where he worked. I was surprised! He went into details as to which departmant, who was his boss and stuff like that. You know why? Well, turns out this guy's wife had work at my hubby's company for over 15 years!! So he knew all the people that Matt was mentioning and he told us he interviewed a few people from one of the departments of the company for naturalization. He also mentioned that the company used to have amazing Christmas parties. How crazy is that!! I was thinking to myself "Isn't this supposed to be about me????" Haha. Well after that, he asked us for joint account proof, rental agreement if any, and any other supporting docs. I had the docs from the bank, life insurance where I am the beneficiary, health insurance, rental agreement and car ownership title in both names. Also, he asked for the marriage license.

After that he asked for pictures of the wedding. He specifically asked for one with the officiant, one with the parents, and a group picture. We didn't have a group picture of the reception, but we gave him one with our friends from the wedding. He made jokes about the fact it looked like we got married in Washington State...yes, we got married in "sunny" San Diego on the beach, only in March San Diego is not sunny at all! It rained on our wedding! Haha. Anyways.

Then he told us he would go through our "story" as a syopsis...he asked me how we met, what we were studying at UCSB and when was our first date. He then asked when Matt proposed, this was a little tricky. Matt proposed to me very informally in 2008. But he replied honestly "January 24th 2010", because that's when he proposed to me officially (on the beach, with candles, music and a beautiful ring!). The officer asked why since we were already doing the k1 at the time so we explained we just did the "official part" then, and he was ok with it.

Finally, he asked the usual "security" questions (are you a terrorist, spy, drug trafficker etc.), he asked if my j1 from 2007 was subject to the 2-year rule (no) and then he said "Ok we are done. My supervisor will approve this today. Here is a remainder to apply for ROC in 2 years. you can keep the 1-94 as a souvenir and you will receive your GC in 10 days". Yayyyy! I told him I was going to Italy in July he said I should have it by then and if not, he said to come back in and check with him. He didn't take AP or EAD though, so I am good!

Finally, he told Matt "Say hi to Mike and Tracy at Cardinal Health from me!". The whole thing lasted 20 minutes and overall it was no sweat. I am just waiting on the update from the website now, but I am not worried as I can work and travel with EAD and AP anyways.

Good luck to all of you my friends and I hope your upcoming interviews are just as easy!

Another funny thing I just remembered. The IO said to bring more proof when it's time to remove the conditions. He said "The best proof is if you get pregnant and have a kid so you bring the birth certificate". I was teasing Matt on our way to the car saying "Well, that leaves me around 1 year before I get pregnant". Needless to say, hubby's face went blank :rofl::rofl::rofl:

Hi..I have a question about the Welcome Letter..

I was concerned because some filers said they get 3 email/texts from USCIS that thier GC is approve before they get it..

My question is, Is the Welcome Letter the approval? Because it says here: (got my welcome letter Monday)

My case was transferred to CSC,so I don't go through interview, u can see it on my timeline.. :)

That's why im confuse if I should get an email/text from them for approval before I get my GC

or that letter was the approval??

oh..wasn't paying attention:yes: that being said though, I dunno how to answer your question as my case requires me to have my AOS interview which happens Friday! Hope you get your card in the mail soon!

Reunited for good and it feels so good!
