WOW....SORRY ABOUT THAT...... i WONDER WHERE THESE FILES ARE COMING FROM!!! THAT'S CRAZY WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND NOT BEING ABLE TO SEE WHERE YOUR FILE IS CURRENTLY. I GUESS YOU HAVE TO POSTPONE THE INTERVIEW IF YOUR HUBBY WONT BE IN THE COUNTRY. I ALSO HOPE YOU WONT GO THROUGH WHAT I WENT THRU SINCE I AM LOST JUST LIKE MY FILE. DONT EVEN KNOW MY NEXT MOVE AND USCIS CUST SVCE WONT HELP COZ THEY SAY I NEED TO FOLLOW UP WITH IRVING OFFICE. SO I WILL TRY INFOPASS ON MONDAY.

In other news... I have my AP and EAD card in hand. I desperately need that GC though since I need it to get financial aid at school for the fall now that I'm going off fellowship. Eeek.

Grats to all the EAD approved and to Dave and Melanie for the AOS!!! Good luck to everyone!

Our Timeline:

08/01/2009: Both Marc and I arrived in Seattle, WA. (Anaïs on a J-1 Visa until March 20th, 2010.)

08/13/2009: We arrived in Berkeley, CA and moved in our current apartment.

09/25/2009: After 5 years together, we get married!

02/07/2010: Marc gets a big promotion and his salary is doubled: this is too big of a career opportunity for him: we decide to stay in the US.

02/08/2010: We start to work on getting a AOS application together.

03/07/2010: We send the application via USPS to the Chicago Lockbox.

03/10/2010: Application delivered in Chicago, 1:50 pm.

03/17/2010: Series of USCIS notification of acceptance e-mails received.

03/18/2010: Checks cashed this morning.

03/22/2010: All 4 NOA-1 received!

04/12/2010: Biometrics appointment at 12.00 at the Oakland, CA support center today. Everything went smoothly.

04/30/2010: Interview letter received in the mail! We had had no news and no touch since April 13th so the letter was unexpected!

05/14/2010: AOS and I-130 touched.

05/17/2010: AOS, I-130, I-131, and I-765 touched.

05/17/2010: Two confirmation e-mails received: AP and EAP approved!

06/01/2010: EAD card received today in the mail!

06/02/2010: AOS interview in San Francisco.

does anyone here apply for SSN using the EAD?

me and my daughter apply for an SSN today,, the in charge there ask our passports and EAD. He said to us that my daughter will get her SS card within 2 weeks and then he turned me that my EAD has a problem when they are trying to authenticate it in department of homeland security my EAD card number is not found or have not yet been activated... he also said that my daughter EAD has no problem because they able to find it in department of homeland security files. he then told me that he will just informed us after 4 weeks or we can call them after 4 weeks to follow up the application becuase they send a notice to the department of homeland security about the said problem,,

has anyone had encounter this kind of issue before?

Whaaaaaat? I'm wondering. Mine has not been touched since biometrics. I just PRAY our file is there because we are going to Italy on July 10th. Man, it would be hard not to make a scene if they have to reschedule us! :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

May 17th,2010 : Received AP in mail.

May 18th,2010 : Received a TEXT+E-mail . USCIS website shows EAD status changed to Card in Production ordered .

June 1st ,2010 : Received EAD in mail and TEXT+E-mail telling me EAD notice mailed/approved...wierd but, who cares. Its here. lol

June 2nd, 2010: NERVOUS and ANXIOUS and EXCITED. All these emotions killing me. No appetite. Tomorrow is the day.

June3rd: Interview schedule date @12:30PM

June3rd: Went for interview as scheduled...NO INTERVIEW since they dont have my file yet.

June4th: Called USCIS toll free nbr and they cant help me. Will try INFOPASS on Monday.

thank you ALW,,i will be looking forward to it,, my interview is on june 21,,my AOS last update was May 6 the day after my biometrics,,its been a month now that my AOS never been touched and our interview is coming,, i have lots running on my mind what if our file too are not yet there,,urrrrrrrrrrrgh,, i will be crazy thinking about it... good luck on your interview ALW,,i wish you luck...

Same here, but EAD was approved and AP should be with me this week so the GC is not that urgent. I am trying not to be paranoid about them not having my file, I just hope since it would be their mistake they would schedule around my Italy trip (which I doubt!). That is the only reason why I would just like to get it done! Anyways, all this is just going on in my head :rofl: I should stop doing that :bonk:

10 days to interview! I think I will be printing out some pictures this Saturday/Sunday. Then I will be prepping the file and the husband !!! :lol:

um, interesting, I actually got a touch on AP today! Did they mail it? I was hoping they had mailed it on the 3rd already...oh well...this is really a puzzle! Congrats on getting AP:) I'll check the mail just in case when it gets here later this afternoon ;)

Yeah mine was touched on the 4th as well...seriously I laughed at my silly self for trying to figure out what all of this means! :rofl:

Anyways, the mail gets to my house really late, usually at 4pm, so we'll see what's up!
