We just received a hard copy of I-797 NOA2 for approval of my I-485 today. I'm happy but wary at the same time because I never received any email or text messages on my phone for the approval. The NOA2 is dated May 18 yet on the USCIS website, the last time my I-485 petition was touched was April,30.

In the meantime, I recieved email and text messages about card production ordered for my EAD on May 18, and another on May 21.

I checked the MSC# on the NOA2 hard copy and it matches my I-485 number. So confused. In anycase, I do have approval notice in writing for my GC, so happy news!

Says I will receive my GC in 3 weeks.

Total time for getting GC was 2 months and 8 days.

07/11/16 : NOA1

07/28/16 : Biometrics

04/03/17: Interview (approved)

04/14/17: Judicial oath ceremony

i successfully made a walk-in biometrics today at dallas fort worth, and today my I-485 and I-765 got touch,,,,,,just 2 minutes ago i received a text message from USCIS that my EAD is approved and a new card production ordered,,, i am so happy,,, i am now allowed to work,,, wooooo hooooo,,,, work here i come,,,, :dance:

Confuse, at what DFW office did you do your walk-in? I got my appointment notice today and it is for the south Dallas office (which I'm afraid is the busiest one). I'm thinking about trying it, but I have an hour drive so just want to check with others that might know. Thanks!

Finally!!! I just received email and text msg that "On May 24, 2010, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION"..... This is actually the third email/text msg about the EAD approval. I guess they want me to have it for at least 6 days before my interview on the 3rd of June. How nice of them. :thumbs:

i went to the south dallas office nobody there took us like 15 min. i think a walkin would be easy :star:

I went to Fortworth for my biometrics today..

It wasn't busy at all, once I enter the door they just stamp my ASC Appointment and took me top get my fingerprint and pictures done..

So most of us will not have whole a lot of use out of EAD cards once we get them huh ?

Weird in a way, ( nothing new based on feb, jan folks ) but with march group interviews coming up I guess its not the end of the wolrd.

Best of luck to everyone. On the bright side we will be finished with our AOS in month or so.

ps. at least they have pre World Cup games on Telemundo :-)

I hope my EAD is approved beginning of next week because my interview is on the 17th, so it might take until the end of June to get the actual GC...and I think I can use an extra month of work! And I am going to Italy at the beginning of July so it will be great to fly out with a GC rather than with AP...I'm just waiting for the day when I stand in the Permanent Resident line instead of the Visitor line at the airport :lol:

Very true. I hope my EAD is approved beginning of next week because my interview is on the 17th, so it might take until the end of June to get the actual GC...and I think I can use an extra month of work! I hear you, I liked England strong game vs. Mexico yesterday.

I will chear US all day long but my second favorite is ENG. Maybe because they missed on so many tournaments lol.

I just enjoy watching Premiership and hope they finally do well at the cup.

As for Italy.............. I always admired Buffon as a goalkeeper but .........thats about it :-) lol

Anyways, I hope for a world cup full of dramatic games, I want good futball thats all I care.

My problem is what uf I get my interview letter and he wasn't here???? :crying:

And his job is permanently, I mean he can only travel back here to US every once in a year..!!

Ugh!! But since they transfer my case to CSC im hoping I won't have interview anymore..
