i get a little bit worried of my upcoming interview becuase my husband cannot include me in the house and other major stuff becuase i dont an SSN yet,, i only have water bills and dentist bills,, could this affect my interview?

Don't worry about it. I'm sure the interviewer knows about mortgage and banking processes. Do you have pictures? Gone on any trips? Does he have bank statements showing how he supports you?

yes we have lots of pictures but we never gone anywhere aside roaming around here in texas. yes he has bank statements showing the he supported me. thanks jewel,,,, congratulations again,,,,

I am so bored today that I think I will start gathering the documents for the interview even though it is basically in a month...I just really hope they don't RFE me about the medical. I am going to be stubborn and not go to a CS until they RFE me (IF they do). The 200 euros for the medical in Italy is still hurting :o

JimNLena, I am sure EAD will come so soon...it's a matter of days now! It's not the time to think about smoking again!

Received the "Welcome to America" letter Saturday, 5/22, five days after the text/email notification. On the letter, it says that she should receive her green card in 3 weeks.

Strange enough, I received another pair of text/email Friday, 5/21, notifying us that the green card was approved. We had already received such notice on 5/17.

When I just went online and check the case status, the I-485 was last updated on 5/21, the date the second notification was sent. I believed this is the date the green card was mailed. I have the reason to believe this, because I received one text/email for the approval of the EAD, another text/email notification for the mailing of the actual card, although the second notification did not specify that the card was mailed. Rather, it simply repeat the first approval message.

I hope everyone gets a speedy approval on this process!

We got the approval letter on Friday so starting 14th of May I am a US resident. :-) No interview was required in our case. EAD is taking longer though but I am sure it's on it's way too. I should receive the green card in the mail in the next few weeks. So fast!!!!

Oh, I was worried that we will get a RFE because I didn't include the I-693 form in the package. I only send the vaccination record. However, it seems that it wasn't necessary. :-) It may be because my age waivers me from further vaccinations though.

Good luck to those still waiting for their approval!

You won't need, and may never receive an EAD after you have your green card. The EAD is supposed to serve as a temporary authorization to work until the green card is issued. You're authorized to work with your green card.

So my EAD is supposed to be approved between 05/31 (Memorial day!) and June 5th, the day before my birthday...I guess this week and the next one are going to be "hot" as I will be impatiently waiting for some good news. I wonder if I'll just get a letter in the mail about it since my case updates and progress reports are still stuck and not even the interview is showing up; never got an email or a text, just the letter. My future employer is impatient since he says they are getting busy and they can use the extra help, so I guess I should use these last days of vacay before real life begins!

Congrats to everybody who got good news in the last few days! :dance:

And I am keeping my fingers crossed for those who are still waiting... :star:
