I got another text/ email notification last night, card production ordered. I got all excited thinking it's the green card since the EAD card production was ordered at the end of last week. But, it was the EAD case again.

Not sure why they're notifying us again that the EAD card production is ordered, but whatever it's better than an RFE haha.

I called the USCIS number to check on my (husband's) case. The operator read in a robot voice this spiel about how I'm not supposed to call him back for another 21 days. haha so basically NOTHING SINCE APRIL 19th!!!!

Jewel-8 that's a nice spreadsheet. :) I'm hopeless with Excel so I find it really impressive whenever anyone makes one.. My husband has been just a tinge stir crazy and blue too. Someone wanted to offer him a job, but freaked out when told we are waiting for the EAD.

I think it's irritating for immigrants to be stuck in this gray area where they're not quite illegal but not quite legal. It's irritating for the USC too, since we've been waiting all this time to live like normal married people. Hopefully it will all be over soon, for a while anyway. I'm sick of immigration, honestly :(

I really don't agree. The system is in place for the EAD so the non-USC doesn't have to wait (years!) like they used to. 90 days (usually closer to 60) is a nice amount of time for the non-USC to get used to his/ her new surroundings without the pressure and stress of finding work/ not finding work/ working.

For us it's been like a long honeymoon. Yes, money can get a bit tight with all the major changes and only one spouse working, but it's really nice having a nice clean place, warm fresh cooked meals, and actually HAVE time to spend with one another, instead of we both just got off work, you clean, I'll cook, and maybe we'll see each other when we go to bed.

I guess it's the half-cup thing. It's all in how you look at it.

Well DainandVicky it's great that you are enjoying yourself :) But everyone's situation is different and I was just stating my general frustration as many people on VJ do, some much more vocally. I am glad that you are enjoying this time but not everyone enjoys it so much.

Anyway, I received my interview notice in the mail today for June 23, 2010. I think my husband wanted the EAD instead though :P
