We received our interview letter, finally!! The AP arrived today too.

It looks like it takes close to a full week for us receive mail from them. The AP was mailed on 5/7 and we got it 5/13. Hopefully, that means for EAD will show up at the beginning of next week. I can't wait to get him added on to all my long established bank accounts and get rid of our, just for show, BOA joint checking account.

Luckily, I'm in the middle of selling my house in NC and since it is a community property state, his signature has to be on everything. It makes no sense that we can't get him on any of my bank accounts, but I have to have his consent to sell my house I bought over 3 years ago. :bonk: At least, that means more documentation for the interview. :dancing:

Also, are those of you planning to bring photos - are you just print them out on plain paper or are you going to use nice photo papers?

Ahh! I'm getting nervous about this interview already! I hope I don't forget to bring anything and that we'll get a nice officer...

When I was getting K1 ready I found it cheap and easy to upload photos to walgreens.com and then go pick them up an hour or two later. They usually have specials for 10 cents a photo if you get over 50. That's the route Dave's taken when he needed some quick snapshots for his modeling career too. :lol:

I want to take you up on that, but I'm having a frustrating day! I see people getting interviews/serious progress and they were far behind me in sending all the docs! Sorry for the vent. I just don't see anything moving as far as I am concerned :clock: ...unless I really do get something in the mail unexpectedly, today is just one of those days. This world is illogical and USCIS is no exception!

Here is to all of us becoming legal :alien: soon!

Vivi I feel the EXACT same way as you, but I am the American. But yes I did all the papers and EVERYTHING for my husband so I feel it is my fault if the papers aren't moving. I start thinking maybe I did something wrong, even though I spent weeks preparing them. You don't have to apologize for the venting, it's totally understandable.

It was the same way during the K1 process. I tried to be happy for people who filed after me and moved on before me. I was happy for them in a way, but in the evil part of me I was thinking, "All of you people are taking up space in the line. Don't cut in front of me! :angry: " haha

I hope we both find a nice surprise in the mailbox today. fingers crossed!!

So i stopped looking at the USCIS website because the only updates i got were for the NOA's and nothing else changed so i even stopped logging on. Yesterday in the evening i received two texts and e-mail. WOW!!:thumbs: That surprised me. :wow: It was approval for EAD is under production (im already working anyway) and I-131 for travel is approved. lol (dont plan to go anywhere until i get the green bug on my hands) :dance:. I am happy but a little nervous about interview since it could favor me or not. I've heard horror stories but i am crossing my fingers. Anyone who filed with me should receive these notices soon i hope. Good luck and God Speed. Wish you all luck in the interview that will be here soon. If i get approved in the interview, it will have taken 3 months exactly from filing all the way to approval (10yr greencard) Isnt that efficient? wow .;)

Maybe Im wrong but isn't it a 2-year gc and then you have to file for removal of conditions to get the 10 year card?

My 3yr wedding anniversary is in April 13th 2010. If you are married over 2yrs by the time you are getting your interview then you get 10yr GC. If you are married less than 2yrs by the time you get your interview then they issue a conditional GC.

I-130 and AOS Timeline:
